Commissioning Project

Collage New Music's longstanding tradition of commissioning new works has gained newfound momentum in recent years, thanks in large part to the support of Catherine and Paul Buttenwieser. Funding from the Buttenwiesers has resulted in new works by Martin Brody (Beasts, premiered 4/21/02), Richard Cornell (New Tropes, premiered 3/30/03), Michael Gandolfi (as above, premiered 3/27/05), Andrew Imbrie (The Tyger, premiered 3/27/06), Lior Navok (Elegy for the Future, premiered 2/24/02), and Andy Vores (Goback Goback, premiered 3/30/03), with others still in the pipeline. In addition to supporting commissions by Collage, the Buttenwiesers have also supported recent commissions by the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Boston Modern Orchestra Project, and Boston Musica Viva.
