Composer-in-Residence (2006-2007)
CNMs composer-in-residence program, initially funded by a generous award from the Harvard Musical Association, enhances our longstanding work in support of young Boston-based composers, strengthens our educational and community outreach activities, and lends a layer of continuity to the concert season.
We are delighted to have Curtis K. Hughes serve as composer-in-residence for the 2005-2006 and 2006-2007 seasons. Curtiss music, including "danger garden," a new work commissioned through the composer-in-residence program, was performed on two of our concerts last season. This fall, Curtis will give lecture-demonstrations at area schools and other venues.
